Family Counseling: From Theory to Application
When charged to work with at-risk-youth, working closely with their families becomes a critical component of effective treatment. Although challenging, when families are incorporated successfully, children are more likely to attain and maintain desired outcomes. Join us, as we spend the day exploring tools to effectively conceptualize and intervene with family systems to address mental health and substance abuse symptoms. We will explore ways to join with the family and keep them active in the therapeutic process, as well as practice specific tools for application and intervention to implement change in family systems.
